How to enable it in the game
War Thunder for PC receives movement through the compatible TrackIR protocol. Start tracking before the game and check the response inside the cockpit during a test flight.
You do not need to switch to Full Real controls or rebuild your joystick setup to use the tracked view. This guide covers Windows; PlayStation Camera options are a different system.
Your first test? A calm cockpit test flight
Start with a stationary aircraft or a relaxed session in the cockpit. External views behave differently: recent updates allow the camera to orbit around the vehicle.
Step-by-step setup
Prepare your view
Select your webcam in TrackVisyon, calibrate looking straight ahead and start tracking. Leave the integrated engine active, then open War Thunder.
Enter a test flight
Select an aircraft and start Test Flight. Choose the cockpit using your configured change-view command, then test small movements while stationary.
Check before combat
Look left, right, up and down. If the view does not respond, close War Thunder and reopen it with tracking already running. Do not reset your controls preset.
Find your flight profile
In Mapping Studio, adjust yaw and pitch to look around comfortably while keeping sight of your screen. Start with the included profile and keep a steady centre for reading instruments.
If your view does not respond
Does an anti-cheat warning appear?
Do not disable or bypass anti-cheat, and do not download DLLs from external sites. Update the game and TrackVisyon from official sources; if it persists, open a ticket with diagnostics and the warning text.
Is another tracker running?
Keep just one head-tracking source active. Close other trackers and apps using the webcam, then try again.
