How to enable it in the game
Start tracking in TrackVisyon before launching Arma 3. In the controls options, open Controllers, select TrackIR and use Enable if it is disabled.
Labels may be translated in your game. If the device is missing, reopen the game with the integrated engine already active. Do not install mods or manually edit the profile as your first troubleshooting step.
Your view is independent of your aim
This guide covers Arma 3 on PC, not Arma Reforger. Head tracking moves the view; it does not replace the mouse for aiming or vehicle driving controls.
Step-by-step setup
Start tracking
Calibrate in your gaming position in TrackVisyon. Check movement and the integrated engine, then open Arma 3.
Enable the TrackIR controller
Open Options → Controls → Controllers. Select TrackIR and press Enable if it is not already active, then confirm the changes. Do not reset every control to its defaults.
Test in first person
Enter a training mission or a simple scene in the editor. While stationary, move your head: your view should change independently of your aim.
Tailor the profile to your mission
In Mapping Studio, start with yaw and pitch to observe your surroundings. Keep a steady centre and try other axes one at a time; behaviour differs between infantry, vehicles and camera modes.
If your view does not respond
Do you use a custom controls preset?
Check view actions and TrackIR bindings in the active preset. Change only the affected bindings without deleting keyboard, mouse or joystick controls.
Does it behave differently on a server or with a mod?
First check a simple local mission. If the issue remains, include the mission, mods and game version in a ticket with diagnostics.
